Bavk in the late 80s, nobody was a king what I wanted, so I engineered and built a lever action around the .454 Casull cartridge, which operates at 65,ooo psi chamber pressure. It is also adaptable to the Linebaugh .475 or .500, standard or maximum lengtg, and the .500 S&w. Bases on Browning's 1886 design, it is smaller, overall, but very well balanced, and extremely accurate.
It will push a 325 grain, hard cast bullet to 2,100 fps, using the load I develop for my FA .454 revolver.
