CROM USA’s ZhuCROM – A Zhukov Handguard For Ruger PC Carbine If you recall, CROM USA made a chassis for the Ruger PC Carbine that allows you to use a Magpul Mossberg SGA stock. Well they have taken another Magpul product and modified it for use on the Ruger PC Carbine. The ZhuCROM is a modified Zhukov AK handguard and it will be available soon. The […]

It's kind of insane how much aftermarket support there is for the Ruger PCC considering how recently it actually came out.

It just keeps getting uglier and uglier. Maybe. But, for some reason that has yet to reveal itself to me I want one! I really do. Maybe it's cause is I live in CT and can't buy any other pc carbine because... Reasons(evil features!). But I really do want it though it is a bit of eye rape.

All these comparisons to the PPsH...just think if Ruger churned them out in 7.62x25 and it took Papa mags...
*sits down, cross legs and bites lip*
In seriousness, I'll likely end up getting one. I want a PC carbine in 9mm that'll take glock mags. An AR...okay, but I have a bunch of those. I would actually like something different. This takes down marginally faster than an AR does. It (can) look marginally less scary. It'll pack (marginally) smaller if using its factory (or similar) stock. Everything I've read is it runs very reliably. The price is darned hard to beat for anything other than a home built AR-9 at ~$500 or less street price. For the state I live in, an AR-9 is legal, but I also question for how much longer. It is one less gun I need to wonder about if it'll be banned anytime soon. The lower comb height against helps the compactness, though it does compromise optic mounting and choices if you want a cowitness or perfect return to zero.
For me, I have to deal with a wife who isn't terribly supportive of me owning guns and the fact that I own "guns that fire fast" and "tiny guns" (read that as ARs and handguns) causes her rather a large amount of heart burn (she was raised by vegan anti-gunners. At least she supports me hunting and loves venison). This is a whole lot easier to run past the boss as an acquisition.
The logical approvals
1) Well, I can use it to whack ground hogs better on the property (check one box, practical hunting varmint control purpose) 2) It uses a caliber of a gun I already own, so I don't need to buy anymore ammo (check another practical box) 3) It uses magazines for a handgun I own (check another box) 4) It doesn't look scary (check several boxes) 5) "it is less than $500" (check a box)
I am hoping eventually Ruger does make it in .45acp and you'd be able to swap the barrel/fore end and bolt (maybe spring too) to accomplish said task. Possibly magazine insert too. Yeah, you almost should just buy a new gun for that...but happy wife crap and the fewer guns I actually own, the happier she is (which is why I only own a couple of ARs, but I've got probably half a dozen uppers).

Some day Ruger will wise up and make a "Charger" pistol version. Honestly, though? I suspect they're pulling the old classic trick: releasing the standard version, and waiting until the popularity slows down before introducing the hot new version.
