Range rental programs also enable ranges to stand out from the competition — especially e-commerce giants.“It’s going to drive customer satisfaction, repeat business and sales,” said Chase Chambers, national sales manager of Shot Spot in Carrollton, Ga.
“In today’s world, people want to put their hands on things before they buy them. It’s how brick-and-mortar stores can compete with companies like Amazon and other big e-commerce sellers. At the end of the day, it’s about customer service.”
With these points in mind, here are two recently introduced range rental programs that caught the attention of the SI team.
Zanders Creates Range-Retailer Program
Zanders Sporting Goods has launched its exclusive Range-Retailer Program. The program will allow ranges to take advantage of multiple incentives, which will help them diversify the selection of firearms they’re able to offer guests.
“With regular range programs, dealers have to invest a large amount of money into one manufacturer’s products in order to take advantage of their range promotion,” noted Stefanie Zanders, VP and COO of Zanders. “With our exclusive Range-Retailer Program, dealers are able to diversify their capital into a variety of products to carry at their range. This will lead to a higher turn rate for their inventory as well as increased income from range rentals.
”The following manufacturers will be participating in the program: Beretta, CZ-USA, Chiappa Firearms, Hi-Point, Iver Johnson, SCCY and Eagle Imports, including the Bersa, Llama and American Classic brands. (Editor’s Note: Beretta options were only available during the 2019 NSSF Range-Retailer Expo, held Aug. 19–21 in Denver.)
Zanders encourages ranges to contact their sales representative for more information.
