One of my favorite long guns to take afield is the Savage 24. The sights could really stand to be updated. I realize it’s not ideal for shooting birds in flight but I got to wondering if there’s a Skinner sight that would work for this?

The idea when using the shotgun barrel is to fold down the rear sight and use the front sight as a "bead". I used ghost ring sights on my mossberg until I put a red dot.
Pretty much the same concept as skinner. I slayed stuff with the ghosts. And I really love the red dot. The doves and crows hated me |
