Hornady’s Handgun Hunter MonoFlex handgun projectile is manufactured with a tough copper alloy that achieves deep penetration and 95% weight retention. Upon impact, the elastomer compresses, then pushes out and causes the bullet to expand faster than a standard hollowpoint design. Available loads with the MonoFlex bullet include: 9mm +P (115-gr.), .357 Mag. (130-gr.), .40 S&W (135-gr.), 10mm Auto (135-gr.), .44 Rem. Mag. (200-gr.), .454 Casull (200-gr.) and .460 S&W Mag. (200-gr.).
Subsonic Ammunition now comes in handgun loads and three new rifle loads. Tried-and-true handgun XTP bullets expand reliably at subsonic velocities, and the Sub-X bullet used in rifle loads feature a lead core. Long grooves in its gilding metal jacket combine with the bullet’s flat profile and the Flex Tip insert within its hollowpoint cavity help it expand reliably at low velocities.
