Frank DeSomma, Keith Garcia Break Down the Revolution DI
Patriot Ordnance Factory’s Frank DeSomma and 3GN Champion Keith Garcia give a run down on POF’s fighting machines and the new .308 Revolution DI.
POF-USA’s Frank DeSomma took the time at SHOT Show to break down several of the company’s newest rifles. Moreover, DeSomma explains the company’s success blending traditional 7.62 rifle characteristics with 5.50-sized carbines.
The new POF-USA Revolution DI stands as the company’s ultimate expression of that blending large and small AR-type rifles. So Keith Garcia joined the fray to explain the benefits of the Revolution DI for 3-Gun.
While the piston-driven Revolution in .308 was remarkably light at 7.35 pounds, the new DI version is even lighter, tipping the scales at a mere 6.81 pounds! A sub-7-pound .308 with a 16-inch barrel, the Revolution DI breaks even more new ground.
Could the POF-USA Revolution DI in .308 Spark the Heavy Divisions?
With a 6.5 Creedmoor offering available as well, PRS and 3GN Long Range competitors could potentially have another solid option to get involved in gas gun matches. With a 20-inch barrel and an 8.6-pound weight, the 6.5 CM version is poised to be a tack-driver.
The Revolution series is built on POF-USA’s Gen 4 lower receiver, featuring an ambidextrous bolt release and safety selector. Tension screws, an oversized, flared mag well, and ambi-bolt hold open round out the upgrades. A single-stage, non-adjustable drop-in trigger delivers a 4.5-pound pull. Finally, a match-grade barrel, adjustable gas block, Renegade fore-end and triple-port muzzle brake complete the package.
