New company Rival Arms introduced itself to the firearms industry at the 2019 SHOT Show. The company fills a need its founders identified last year — a consolidated source of premium handgun parts allowing enthusiasts to build their own match-grade pistols from the ground up.
Headquartered in Dallas, Rival unites production best practices and product support under a single brand. The realization factory or OEM components were limited to broad-based design parameters and production capabilities and performance aftermarket components were dispersed across multiple manufacturers, was the impetus for the company’s birth.
Rival Arms handpicked some of the leading machinists, product designers and material-coating specialists in the firearms industry to unite behind the common goal of producing quality, made-in-the-U.S., performance pistol components for competitive shooting, concealed carry or duty use. (Only the tritium used in its night sights is sourced from outside the U.S., in Switzerland.)
The initial Rival Arms product lines center around the GLOCK platform, specifically GLOCK Models 19, 17, 22, 23, 34 and 43 — with current line expansions into Smith & Wesson’s M&P platform. These lines cover the breadth of competitive and high-end consumer upgrades and modifications, including: precision slides, with and without optic accommodations; precision drop-in barrels, threaded and non-threaded; precision strikers; high-performance guide rod assemblies; slide completion kits; frame pin kits; extended slide locks; two-piece flared magwell assemblies, grip plugs and magazine extensions and tritium night sights.
All Rival Arms products, except for the tritium night sights, are backed by a lifetime warranty. The sights have a 12-year warranty based on the half-life of tritium.
By accessorizing a handgun with Rival Arms parts, shooters can get a custom look and feel without the standard price of custom work.
Since Rival Arms products do not require traditional gunsmithing services to install, all kits and individual components are offered across the retail spectrum.
