Armslist scam
You might all be somewhat familiar with the Nigerian scams on Craigslist, where a supposed buyer wants to send you a company check for more than the amount and wants you to send the difference with the item being sold. Recently I was hit by a scammer, on Armslist, but not until the last minute did I realize it was this same old scam. Was going to send a contract check and I was to remit the difference. The new wrinkle was he had no problem sending a signed FFL to ship to. In the future in addition to having the cash in hand before shipping, I will call the receiving FFL to insure the transaction is legit. Donald Jemes was the name used.

I guess I'm lucky and sort if finicky that i don't trust most people and buy almost all my guns with a hands on inspection rather than relying on some pictures and a description on the net. I have bought a total of 3 guns online and all of them from reputable gun importers. I have never bought from armslist, gun broker etc and will probably keep it that way.
